  • Taught art one-on-one to students ages 12-19, with flexible instruction to accommodate student goals, experiences, and learning needs. Lessons included Printmaking, Street Art/Public Art, Comics, Traditional Drawing, Digital Art, and Abstract Painting.

     

  • Planned small group classes, social art activities, and shows.

     

  • Worked with students to compile portfolios for art schools and colleges.

     

  • Adapted lessons and teaching styles for students with a variety of learning differences, including Autism, ADHD, and Executive Functioning Disorders.

     

  • Taught hight school History and English classes with a focus on hands-on learning, creative writing, and critical thinking, close readings, and discussion groups.

  • Taught during COVID-19- managed sudden changes in format, adapted my courses to an online environment. Designed class plans that allowed for student interaction, outdoor time, and assignment variations to fit the students' circumstances.

  • Continued to host comics work parties for other artists online.

  • Critique and evaluation of student work, in one-on-one sessions and in groups.

  • Managed classes through Zoom and Canvas.

Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument (California State Parks)

  • Led groups of 1- 60 people on 60-100 minute tours.

  • Organized and delivered individual presentations, tailoring information to educate and engage diverse audiences.

  • Researched museum history and related topics.

  • Regularly updated the San Simeon Calendar for the other guides, finding and verifying relevant anniversaries, birthdays, and events that could be discussed on tour.

  • Special duties included leading school groups and training new guides.
